My name is Mohsen, and I am a Ph.D. candidate in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at the University of Kansas. My research focuses on sustainable energy and environmental governance, policy, and justice. I bring professional experience as an urban planner and architect, specializing in sustainability, climate action planning, and energy efficiency. I hold a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, alongside an earlier Master’s in Architecture and Energy from the University of Tehran, as well as a Bachelor’s in Architecture.
Currently, I am working on my doctoral dissertation, titled "Toward a Causal Theory of Energy Justice: Exploring Regulatory Typologies, Uncovering Plausible Pathways, and the Conditional Role of Ownership in U.S. Utilities."
I also serve as Co-Director of the Secretariat at the Public Management Research Association (PMRA) and am an active member of the Environmental Sustainability Advisory Board for the City of Lawrence, KS.
